06.18.11 Game Preview

The final Cincinnati Rollergirls home game of 2011 will be a challenging and emotional one for the team. CRG will take on regional rivals the Detroit Derby Girls, currently ranked 3rd in WFTDA’s North Central Region to CRG’s 5th. The game will also be the final CRG game for four skaters: Trauma, Sk8 Crime and Hop Devil (pictured), who are all moving out of the area, and Miss Print, who is retiring from skating but remaining involved with the team.

Saturday also likely will be the last CRG home game that announcers Tank and Caesar call together, though both plan to continue announcing during the team’s travel season. Check out their video preview of the action:

Regular ticket prices are $10 for adult general admission seating, $15 for trackside seating (18 and older), $5 for kids 7-12 and free for kids 6 and younger in advance through the Cincinnati Gardens box office (open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday), at all Ticketmaster outlets including select Kroger stores, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices increase at the door to $12 for adult general admission seating, $17 for trackside seating and $6 for kids 7-12. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first game starts at 7 p.m.
This double-header is CRG’s first-ever Fan Appreciation Night, and the team will have lots of giveaways for fans to thank for their support this season, including paper CRG fans for the first 300 fans and CRG keychains for all fans while supplies last. And as always, parking is free, beer is just $1 from 6-7 p.m. and tailgating is encouraged.
96Rock will be broadcasting live from the Cincinnati Gardens’ free parking lot with tailgating fans starting at 5:30 p.m. The station will hook up one lucky listener (and three of their guests) with special Fan Appreciation seats. The fans will receive their very own box fans (to keep) and hook up while enjoying the game. The winner will also receive a $25 food/drink voucher and a $25 CRG merch booth voucher!
After the game, please join skaters and staff from Cincinnati and Detroit at the after-party at Molly Malone’s at 6111 Montgomery Road in nearby Pleasant Ridge!
