WFTDA Playoffs 2016 Preview

If you’re like me, you’ve been watching Stranger Things on Netflix. It’s a throwback to a time when, with a little bit of imagination, anything was possible. At its core, it’s a timeless tale about the power of friendship and how by working together, any obstacle can be overcome. I have that same feeling of excitement and childlike wonder when I watch this Cincinnati Rollergirls Black Sheep team. Over the last few years, they have grown, they have come together and they molded themselves into something truly special.

Don't Call it a Comeback

On second thought, definitely call it a comeback! This August, the Cincinnati Rollergirls Black Sheep return to WFTDA Playoffs after a two-year absence. Their road back was long and winding, fraught with big challenges and big changes.

CRG Earns Invite to Playoffs

After jumping nine spots to No. 48 worldwide in the June 30 Women’s Flat Track Derby Association rankings, the Cincinnati Rollergirls have secured an invitation to the D2 International WFTDA Playoffs from Aug. 26-28 in Lansing, MI.

CRG Looks for New Venue

According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority plans to purchase, demolish and redevelop the historic Cincinnati Gardens, the Cincinnati Rollergirls' home since 2007, for a high-tech manufacturing site. Read a statement from the team.

Home Season Finale Preview

The Cincinnati Rollergirls are ending their 10th anniversary season in a big way this Saturday, June 11 at the Cincinnati Gardens with the fifth annual Crosstown Knockdown against the Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls and the team's first-ever Harry Potter-themed game, featuring Team Gryffindor vs. Team Slytherin. CRG Looks to BrewHaHa & Beyond

The Cincinnati Rollergirls will end their 2016 home season in a big way on Saturday, June 11 with the 5th Annual Crosstown Knockdown vs. the Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls at 6 p.m., plus a special Harry Potter-themed game immediately following!


CRG vs. North Star Preview

With the WFTDA playoffs in their sights for the first time in three years, the Cincinnati Rollergirls are gearing up to take on Minneapolis's North Star Roller Girls in CRG's second-to-last home game of 2016 on Saturday, May 21 - Armed Forces Night - at the Cincinnati Gardens. Tank sets the stage for the matchup.
