When the members of Cincinnati band Bad Veins were searching for extras to appear in their “Soul Train”-inspired music video, they had a great idea: Why not ask some of the Cincinnati Rollergirls to lace up their skates for the shoot?

Cincinnati Rollergirls skaters Wheezy, Miss Print, Garden of Beatin’ and SulFury Assid and referee Montezooma happily answered Bad Veins’ call. Swapping their uniforms, pads and helmets for vintage 1970s attire, they spent a Saturday at CET studios in Downtown Cincinnati in August 2011 shooting the video for the song “Dancing on TV.” The video premiered Feb. 7, 2012 on the website Consequence of Sound.
