A win, a loss and a roller derby road trip

Queen City Rainbow BandThe Cincinnati Rollergirls‘ second home game of the season was last Saturday night, a double-header against the Arch Rival Roller Girls. I don’t have time this week to write a long, pensive post like I did after our season opener, so here’s a summary of the highs and lows of the night:

+ More than 3,000 people packed the Cincinnati Gardens again, and it seemed like half of them were tailgating in the parking lot beforehand.

+ We had a pep band! Specifically, the Queen City Rainbow Band. They made us feel even more so like we’ve arrived as a sport. Now, if only there were enough of them to spell out C-R-G on the floor…
