For the fifth straight year, the Cincinnati Rollergirls have qualified for a spot in a regional playoff competition.

The Cincinnati Rollergirls (5-5 on the season) have qualified for the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association 2012 North Central Region Playoffs as the No. 7 seed. The tournament seeding reflects the WFTDA regional rankings for the second quarter, which were based on sanctioned games played through June 30.
Fiercely talented skaters from the top 40 women’s flat track roller derby leagues in the world will compete for the sport’s greatest glory in the 2012 WFTDA Playoffs and Championships this fall. Cincinnati and nine other teams will compete Sept. 14 to 16 in the North Central Region Playoffs in Niagara Falls, New York – nicknamed “Thrill of the Spill” – in hopes of finishing in the top three and advancing to the WFTDA Championships in November:
