Game Preview: CRG Violent Lambs vs. Terrorz Roller Derby, Halloween Edition

Join the Cincinnati Rollergirls B team, the Violent Lambs, as we take on Terrorz Roller Derby of Columbus, Indiana at home in our new home in Northside, The Apex, on Saturday, Oct. 11. Doors open at 4 p.m,  the game starts at 5 p.m, and the theme is Halloween!

THE TEAMS

The Cincinnati RollerGHOULS / Violent Lambs are ready to scare the competition as they take on Terrorz Roller Derby from Columbus, Indiana. Join us for a spooky good time!

Cincinnati players to especially cheer on will be the jammers — the terrifying point scorers — Andee WarDoll, Chelsea Dragger, CleoPAINtra, and Robin Jewels.

What are the coaches thinking? The team has two coaches currently, Jerry Rigg and Krystonite.

Jerry has coached this season with calm, insight, and seriousness. When asked what he was hoping for from the team for this game, he said, “I am hoping that the hard work we have been putting in at practice shows up during the game.” Asked what he was most proud of this season, he said, “I am most proud of how the team has stuck together with all of the challenges we have had with this new venue.”

A derby player since 2017, Krystonite has been an encouraging, energetic, and dialed-in coach this season. Asked what she is hoping for from the team for this game, Krys said, “I’ve been watching our skaters improve week by week and I look forward to seeing them showcase the skills they have been working on in practice.” Asked what she was most proud of this season, she said, “I’ve been so impressed by our team’s tenacity in practice and in games. I’m also proud of how we handle adversity as a group.”

GAME DAY DETAILS

What: Cincinnati RollergGHOULS vs. Terrorz Roller Derby

When: Saturday, Oct. 11. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the game starts at 5 p.m.

Where: The Apex, 1641 Blue Rock St., Cincinnati, OH 45223 in Northside. The Apex has its own seating–no personal chairs required! And please remember: trackside seating is for fans 18 and over only.

Parking: The parking lot in front of The Apex is for fans who need accessible parking. There is ample street parking all around the venue. There are also three pay lots close to the venue at 1624 Hoffner St., 4022 Gullow St., and 4030 Hamilton Ave. The venue is ADA-accessible. More details here.

Halftime Entertainment is a Halloween Costume Contest: We need you, costumed and ready, adults and children, for our halftime Halloween costume contest! Costume contest winners will be given credit for our merch booth, where you can get your own limited-edition Cincinnati Rollerghouls shirt, good for scaring your friends.
