An encore presentation of the award-winning Cincinnati Rollergirls documentary “The Roller Derby Queens” will air March 30 through April 2 on ThinkTV,a PBS affiliate for Dayton and Cincinnati.

The documentary was part of a class in Xavier University’s electronic media program and was produced and directed by assistant professor Blis DeVault. Filmed in the early part of the team’s 2010 season, it features in-depth interviews with then-rookie skater Bombtrack (pictured); veteran skaters Sk8 Crime, Trauma, Sista Sacralicious and Sadistic Sadie; and many other skaters and support staff as they prepared for the first home game of 2010.

“The Roller Derby Queens” won a bronze Telly Award earlier this year. The Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films.
The documentary will be for sale at CRG’s 2012 home games for $20, so be sure to pick up your copy! All proceeds benefit Xavier’s electronic media program.
