CRG believes that Black Lives Matter. Like most of the country, we have been horrified to hear of the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery and too many other Black Americans by police. Our league stands in solidarity with those in our city and across the country speaking out against systemic racism and police brutality. In Cincinnati, we also remember the killings of Timothy Thomas and Samuel DuBose. We recognize and share our community’s anger that neither officer in those cases was held accountable for their actions.
Words are important, but words are only a start. We encourage members of our community to step up and take action in whatever ways you can. Below you’ll find a list of resources you can use to educate yourself and concrete steps you can take to make your communities safer for Black people and other people of color.
