She not only packs a powerful punch, she’s also a master of calm and cool communication, keeping her teammates perfectly in sync. On the track, she’s unassailable – strong, solid and unstoppable. Off the track? A total sweetheart. It’s hard to imagine our team without her!

How long have you been playing roller derby?
“Since 2009.”

What do you do for your day job?
“DNA test analyst.”

What is your volunteer role within the team?
“Development Director on the Leadership Team.”

What’s your favorite position to play?
“Blocker.”

What is one of your derby strengths?
“Experience and knowledge.”

What made you want to play Roller Derby?
“I used to play team sports in school and I missed the camaraderie/motivation to exercise.”

If you had to pick a “highlight” from your derby career so far, what would it be?
“Skating a Cards Against Humanity themed bout at ECXD. Probably the funniest announcing for a bout I ever heard.”

What do you do for fun off the track?
“I crochet, read books, and if adult scheduling ever aligns, play board games or tabletop roleplaying games.”

What would you say to someone who has thought about playing roller derby?
“It might sound a bit scary, but it’s so much fun, you can get an awesome sense of accomplishment as you master various skills (or lay someone out), and there’s a whole community of new friends especially when it can be so hard to make new adult friends. Honestly the best thing I’ve ever gotten involved with.”
