Tournament Time in Tampa
Most people flock to Florida for rest and relaxation, but not the Cincinnati Rollergirls. The Black Sheep, Cincinnati’s all-star team, will travel to Tampa this weekend for some serious competition at Tampa Bay Derby Darlins’ Franky Panky Tournament. Currently ranked 4th in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association’s North Central Region and 16th nationally by Derby News Network, the Black Sheep will take on three teams from WFTDA’s South Central region at Franky Panky.
Returning to the Flock
I noticed that I was injured back in late November/early December. I say “noticed” because I never had an injury-inflicting incident. I cannot specify what actually happened and when. All I knew then was that my knee and hamstring were hurting and didn’t move like they used to, and that I had one month to fix it before we started up our practices for the new season.
We have a mascot
Introducing the biggest and baaaadest new member of the Cincinnati Rollergirls family: Our mascot, the Wooly Bully! Become his fan on Facebook, follow him on Twitter and look for him in Monday's Opening Day parade and at our April 17 game. The Wooly Bully's costume was handmade by multi-talented CRG skater Jungle Lacy. Didn't she do an amazing job?
